Job description summary:

At GEICO, our associates are the heart of the company. We're looking for great people in our Tucson office who are driven, solution-oriented, and ready to take our business-to-business agency sales team to the next level.

As a Broad Reach Sales Business Developer, you will deliver strategic sales initiatives with a defined territory of agencies and build their book of GEICO business through approved underwriting practices. Business Developers will use their strong ability to influence, along with analytical and decision-making skills to provide guidance and support that promotes preference for GEICO products and services. This role acts as a subject matter expert of product lines and systems to provide recommendations that improve agency activation, customer experience, sales closure, and retention with new and existing customers in the business-to-business space.

Broad Reach Business Developers support our independent agents to achieve growth targets through planned outreach activities, actionable goal setting and understanding of their business needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Location: In office 3-days/week 3050 ML King Jr. Way Tucson, Az
• 3 years of relevant experience (Ex: Insurance, Business-to-Business Sales, Consulting, etc)
• Must be fully certified in current role and off orientation with greater than 1 year tenure with the company.
• Highly effective oral and written communicator must be comfortable presenting, persuading, and networking through multiple channels (in-person, virtually, over the phone, etc.)
• Ability to work individually and as a team collaborator with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Experience interpreting and analyzing data to make informed decisions that support growth initiatives
• Knowledge of industry changes, technology, and desire for continued learning
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• A bachelor's degree
• 3 years sales experience (business-to-business sales a plus)
• Prior experience with diary/caseload management and customer follow-up. (upper-level claims experience a plus)
• Prior experience working with different lines of insurance a plus (Property & Casualty - Personal Auto, Home, Recreational Lines, Commercial Auto/Trucking)
