Accounting Assistant A local company is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Pensacola, Florida. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in a professional environment. Job Responsibilities Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions in compliance with company policies. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, billing, and payment posting. Assist with payroll preparation and expense reimbursements. Maintain organized accounting files and documentation for audits and reporting. Prepare routine financial reports and spreadsheets for management. Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes. Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal staff to resolve billing or payment discrepancies. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures. Perform other related administrative and accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience (legal services or professional services environment a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
