Maintenance Technician (US)

Avantor seeks a maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment under moderate supervision in Visalia, California. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment documentation in a regulated industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic equipment, and production machinery following technical specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and escalate complex issues; maintain accurate maintenance logs
• Check and manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventory levels
• Assist with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs; support production personnel as needed
• Ensure safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum; additional education in related field preferred
• 1–2 years maintenance, mechanical, or electrical experience in industrial or educational setting
• Knowledge of process piping, auto valves, conveyor systems, gearboxes, agitators, and pumps
• Ability to repair electrical and mechanical machinery; skills in electrical work, pneumatics, PLC logic, and welding
• Strong written and oral communication; attention to detail and self-motivation
• Experience in ISO certified, FDA regulated, or cGMP environments preferred

Compensation: $45,500.00–$73,025.00 base
