Milber Makris Plousadis & Seiden, LLP, a multistate full-service civil litigation defense firm and business partner to the insurance industry, is seeking a highly motivated mid-level defense attorney to join the team in our busy Roseland, New Jersey office. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, dynamic firm that offers a great working environment and potential for advancement. Candidate must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and knowledgeable of New Jersey Court Rules. New York admission is a plus but not required. We are looking for the right candidate to join our Team.

Seeking attorney with the following experience:

\n
• 3-6 years' insurance defense litigation experience, licensed in New Jersey and knowledgeable of New Jersey Court Rules and Procedure.
\n

Qualification Requirements:

\n
• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
\n
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and in good standing (Admission in New York a plus)
\n
• Exhibits an in-depth knowledge of New Jersey Court Rules and Procedures
\n
• Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis
\n
• Strong work ethic, ability to manage caseload and work in a team environment
\n
• Highly detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
\n
• Experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings and trials
\n

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

\n
• Managing own caseload (with oversight by partners depending on experience level)
\n
• Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
\n
• Research and writing of memorandums
\n
• Reporting to clients
\n
• Attending hearings and court conferences
\n
• Conducting and defending depositions
\n
• Attending inspections
\n
• Consulting with expert witnesses
\n
• Attending mediations
\n
• Trial preparation and trial
\n
