Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1 PM - 1 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of ED RN experience. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Experience in travel nursing or experience in large facility settings is required. Description: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join our team. The Emergency Department has a capacity of 52 beds with a staff of 134. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod during the day shift. Night shift staffing is similar. The average patient-to-nurse ratio is 3:1, with a low acuity ratio of 5:1, and team nursing is utilized for pediatrics. Typical procedures performed include IV starts and medication administration, sedations, and pediatrics. Candidates should be able to keep up with the fast pace of the Emergency Department. Staff should be diverse and quick learners, as the team is youthful and energetic. Experience with Meditech and at facilities larger than 52 beds is preferred. Candidates with the right experience will be prioritized. The expectation is that staff will scan their patients and medications every time.
