Job Details:Job Description: The RoleAs a Cloud Application Development Engineer within Intel Manufacturing Foundry Cloud Services (imFCS), you will design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications that power semiconductor manufacturing, engineering automation, and AI-driven factory operations. You will build scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that improve engineering productivity, enable advanced analytics, and accelerate Intel Foundry's digital transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain cloud-native applications and services supporting manufacturing and engineering workflows.Support 24x7 manufacturing operations through on-call rotations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.Design and implement scalable microservices, APIs, and containerization systems utilizing Kubernetes orchestrator and cloud native applications.Architect secure cloud solutions spanning application, data, networking, identity, and observability domains.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevOps automation.Provide technical leadership for contractor and partner development teams across multiple geographic regions, driving architecture, implementation, and operational excellence for cloud-native solutions.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and software teams to deliver innovative automation solutions.Contribute to AI and Agentic AI capabilities that improve factory efficiency and engineering productivity.Behavioral CompetenciesStrong collaboration skills in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.Effective written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders.Ability to influence technical direction and communicate architectural decisions.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to operational excellence.Thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting mission-critical manufacturing systems.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.3+ years of software development experience in C#, Python, or similar languages.2+ years of experience with cloud development, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience with Agentic AI, AI-driven automation, or intelligent workflow systems.Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, with experience deploying and supporting scalable microservices and cloud-native applications.Experience architecting cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.Proficiency with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and modern DevOps practices.Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, factory automation, or engineering software systems.About imFCSIntel Manufacturing Foundry Cloud Services (imFCS) builds the cloud platforms and application ecosystem that enable Intel's digital manufacturing strategy.
