Vice President of Project Development About the Company Ambitious renewable energy company Industry Renewables & Environment Type Privately Held, VC-backed Employees 11-50 Funding $1-$5 million About the Role The Company is seeking a VP of Projects to lead its Powered Land Development business, with a focus on scaling the project pipeline from concept to commercial operation. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in data center or renewable development, including 3-5 years in a leadership role. This role requires a proven track record in delivering data center projects, a deep understanding of data center design and operational needs, and experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships. The VP of Projects will be responsible for team leadership, end-to-end project execution, strategic customer and stakeholder management, business development, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate will have a background in energy markets, power procurement, or renewable energy development, and experience with colocated data center and renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities for the VP of Projects at the company include team leadership and development, overseeing project execution, and leading strategic business development. The role demands an individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills, who is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. The candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at building processes from scratch, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities. A strong network within the IPP and data center industries, as well as experience in multiple geographic markets and regulatory environments, is preferred.
