Construction Estimator

Remote or Cary, NC (Hybrid options available, if applicable)

TowerCo is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to support the successful development of telecommunications infrastructure projects. In this role, you will prepare preliminary construction budgets and cost analyses for raw land telecommunications projects, helping guide project decisions from the earliest stages of development.

Job Duties

• Develop preliminary construction budgets using SCIP packages, Google Earth, site sketches, and other early-stage project documents.
\n
• Analyze sites with limited available information and make informed assumptions regarding construction conditions and costs.
\n
• Review geotechnical reports and determine appropriate foundation types and associated construction costs.
\n
• Estimate labor, material, equipment, and schedule requirements for a variety of tower and site development projects.
\n
• Revise and refine budgets as project information becomes available.
\n
• Prepare high-cost justification summaries for customer review and approval.
\n
• Review construction drawings, scopes of work, and general contractor documentation to support project closeout activities.
\n
• Identify missing information and coordinate with project stakeholders to obtain required documentation.
\n
• Support additional construction and project-related activities as needed.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Experience in construction estimating, preferably within the telecommunications, wireless infrastructure, or raw land development industries.
\n
• Ability to interpret construction plans, geotechnical reports, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
\n
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
\n
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
\n
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
\n
• Or 6 years of telecommunications experience with 2-4 years of construction estimation experience
\n
• Experience estimating telecommunications tower, civil, or site development projects.
\n
• Familiarity with SCIP packages, wireless site development, and construction budgeting processes.
