Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Network Engineer Team Lead. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain secure and resilient network infrastructures supporting HPC data centers, enterprise security, and global WAN environments across our international operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure across HPC data center and enterprise environmentsSupport standard operating procedures in both cloud and on-premises network infrastructureEnsure smooth production operations through careful planning and coordinated change managementDeploy and support technical solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable operational tasksDevelop and maintain network monitoring and telemetry capabilities to improve observability across the environmentCoach and mentor junior engineering staff to empower growth and team cohesionCollaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver support and recommendations regarding network technologiesProvide detailed and accurate documentation on network designs, standards, and IP addressingTravel domestically or internationally as required on a limited basisParticipate in an on-call support rotation and occasional out-of-hours maintenance activities.Required Skills5+ years of overall experience installing and supporting network systems and architectures for global companiesHands-on experience with modern data center fabric architectures, including spine-leaf topologies, BGP EVPN/VXLAN, and layer 3 underlay designExperience deploying and supporting network security platforms, including next-generation firewalls and IPS/IDSExperience with Data center operations managementExperience with network monitoring, telemetry, and alerting systemsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressureDemonstrated ability to produce clear and thorough technical documentationDesired SkillsBS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldExperience supporting hardware and software in a multi-vendor environmentFamiliarity with network automation and scripting for operational tasks (Python, Ansible, or equivalent)Experience supporting Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutionsKnowledge of Linux operating systems and virtualization environmentsExperience with IPAM and network documentation platformsKnowledge of modern data center fiber optic cabling and connector standardsModerate technical knowledge of network security best practicesCCNA or equivalent networking certification or experienceOur Hiring ProcessAt Viridien, we are committed to delivering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent recruitment experience.Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant.
