Dietary Manager

Mayfield Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 150‑bed facility providing long‑term care, skilled rehabilitation, intensive outpatient care, and memory care. We are seeking a full‑time experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. At Mayfield Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, our employees are just as important as the residents we care for. As the Dietary Services Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the culinary services team, ensuring high‑quality service in accordance with federal and state regulations. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to ensure food quality, safety standards, and resident expectations are met, and will manage resources within their control while assisting others with resource needs. Desired qualifications include ServSafe certification and a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential. Additional Responsibilities Provide leadership and direct the culinary services team in accordance with established policies and procedures. Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection of dietary staff. Ensure sufficient staffing levels to deliver quality resident care. Develop and communicate shift assignments for culinary staff and monitor job performance. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the operational aspects of the culinary department. Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to ensure compliance with physicians’ orders. Regularly inspect meals being served to assure standards for appearance, palatability, temperature, and serving times are met. Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, with strict adherence to procedures regarding cleaners or hazardous materials. Manage the resources available in the role of Dietary Services Manager while ensuring that needed resources are available and that quality care is delivered to all residents. Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain licensure of self and certification of team and enhance quality of care. Will be willing to serve as a “bridge” cook/aide to cover open shifts. Qualifications and Requirements ServSafe certification required. Prior food service experience in a health care environment preferred. Two years of management experience preferred.
