Business Development, Supply Associate

At GOAT Group, the Business Development team drives supply growth across our marketplace. We’re looking for a product-focused, data-driven associate to support supply initiatives across all sourcing channels. This role combines uncovering insights in the data and leveraging AI and other tools to build processes and drive action. In this role, you will: Monitor performance across key metrics (liquidity, active quantity, pricing, engagement), surfacing trends, opportunities, and risks to stakeholders Analyze sales, stock on-hand, and on-order at the style/color/size level to make recommendations on style selections, unit allocations, and pricing strategies that balance revenue opportunity with profitability Stay on top of product trends across categories and conduct competitive intelligence research to identify emerging areas and maintain a best-in-class assortment Monitor active supply metrics to ensure marketplace supply meets future demand and track initiatives like SKU-based incentives to measure opportunity recapture Evaluate current reporting and seek out new ways to enhance how performance is tracked Support projects and tasks from manager and other key stakeholders on an as-needed basis Develop and optimize workflows using templates and AI tools across systems We are looking for: 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role (planning, buying, supply chain, e-commerce, or similar – fashion + footwear a plus) Strong comprehension of retail math and e-commerce metrics Genuine passion for product and trends across categories Proficient in SQL and Excel Comfort using AI tools Ability to move quickly from data to decisions and manage multiple projects independently Excellent attention to detail and ownership mindset Research skills: gathering and organizing data to provide actionable recommendations Scrappy, resourceful mindset with strong work ethic Bonus: Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau), Python, or inventory planning Hiring Range: Tier 1 (Includes states such as California, New York (including New York City), Washington, Illinois and other higher-cost markets): $76,800 - $96,000 USD Tier 2 – (Includes mid-cost markets across the U.S.): $69,200 - $86,400 USD Tier 3 – (All other U.S. locations): $65,300 - $81,600 USD Benefits include 401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, life insurance options.
