Job Details

Our Manufacturing Company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Supply Chain team. This is a permanent position that covers the Eastern U.S. region. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving new business growth, managing client relationships, and utilizing CRM systems to their full potential. Responsibilities:

• Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities in the logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain sector within the Eastern U.S. region.
• Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Utilizing CRM systems to track all sales activities, client communications, and forecast future sales.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operation and delivery of services.
• Keeping abreast of market trends, industry news, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Conducting regular reviews and reports on business development activities and sales performance.
• Providing leadership and guidance to the sales team, setting performance goals, and ensuring team alignment with company strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, specifically B2B sales, within the logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain industry.
• Proven track record of identifying new business opportunities and converting them into sales.
• Strong understanding of CRM systems and their use in managing and forecasting sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Knowledge of market trends, industry news, and competitor activities in the logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain industry.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving sales goals.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospective clients within the Eastern U.S. region.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
