- # OverviewFirst-time parents in the West Village are seeking a full-time nanny for their 4-month-old baby girl. They're looking for an experienced candidate to join their team before Mom goes back to work in mid-June. They'd like a little overlap before then, so the start date will ideally be in early June.They live in a fourth-story walk-up, so the ability to go up and down stairs is essential. They also have a very friendly and kind Sheepadoodle. They do not expect care for him, but he will be home. However, if you love dogs and would like him to accompany your walks with the baby, that’s a huge bonus!Pay is on the books (no exceptions), and the family is offering $1650/week guaranteed (including overtime for 50 hours/week guaranteed) plus benefits that include a healthcare stipend for qualified candidates.### The Ideal Candidate for this JobThe ideal candidate will have experience working with newborn babies and growing babies. As mentioned, the family lives in a fourth-story walk-up, so the ability to safely carry their daughter up stairs is required. The stroller is kept downstairs in the ground floor entryway, so you will not need to carry it upstairs, but you should be able to bring it up the few stairs from the entryway to the sidewalk. This position is great for an active nanny who enjoys going for walks, taking the baby to classes, and finding enrichment opportunities. This is a long-term position.
