Overview A kind, active young family based in the West Village is seeking an energetic, engaging, and experienced Weekend Nanny/Manny to care for their two active boys, ages 7 and 5, and their 3-year-old daughter. The parents are hands-on, and there is additional support on Saturdays. The family is looking for someone who naturally embodies a "big sister" or "big brother" approach—someone who is playful, active, kind, and genuinely enjoys becoming part of a family's life. The ideal candidate is confident in planning fun-filled weekends, encouraging outdoor play, sports, creativity, and adventure while also providing structure, consistency, and excellent childcare. The schedule is Saturday from 7am to Monday at 9am, live-in. The position is only live-in when working. Housing is not provided for off days. Travel to Westchester in July and the Hamptons in August is required. Responsibilities Provide attentive, engaging care for the family's children. Always ensuring their safety and well-being Plan age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual development Participate in active outings including sports, baseball practice, playgrounds, birthday parties, swimming, and outdoor adventures Foster creativity through arts, crafts, games, and imaginative play Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children Drive or escort the children safely to activities, sports, playdates, and events Keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings tidy and organized Handle children's laundry and clean up after meals and activities Pack/unpack for travel Work collaboratively with the parents, housekeeper, and other household staff to ensure seamless coverage Administer basic first aid or medication if required Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment at all times Qualifications Naturally warm, energetic, and highly engaging Enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and keeping up with active children Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with changing family schedules Confident swimmer Comfortable traveling with the family when required Patient, dependable, organized, and proactive Maintains the highest level of discretion and confidentiality Collaborative team player Requirements Comfortable around dogs (family has one friendly dog) Previous experience working in private households with similarly aged children Excellent driver with a clean driving record and valid driver's license would be a plus CPR Certified Looking for a long-term commitment College educated; a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred, but not required Additional language skills are a plus, but not required Legal to work in the U.S. Salary and Benefits The family is offering $45+/hr DOE, negotiable for exceptional candidates.
