Maintenance Technician

3rd Shift Industrial Technician Job Overview Allegion Steelcraft is a major manufacturer of steel frames and doors. As an Industrial Technician you will play a key role in ensuring the equipment and manufacturing facility run efficiently. You will support the Frames or Doors value streams, performing routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, facilities, and systems to maintain proper function within specifications. Working Hours and Compensation Hours: 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Pay: $29.26 plus shift differential Responsibilities Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties, perform repairs and adjustments—temporary or permanent—to keep production running. Assist in rebuilding machines and overhauling troublesome components and attachments. Fit and align bearings, spindles, shafts, and adjust feeding and limit mechanisms, gibs, and ways. Help install new equipment or relocate existing equipment, including dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations. Act as a project leader: determine materials and resources needed to complete tasks and review the work of subordinate technicians and helpers. Qualifications General knowledge of mechanics, machine design, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work from machine design drawings, specifications, and handbook formulas. Proficiency with precision instruments. Knowledge of welding techniques (arc, gas, MIG, etc.). Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
