Appointment Requirements:

• Master's or Specialist-level degree (e.g., MA, MS, Ed.S, or Ph.D.) in School Psychology.

• Valid New York State School Psychologist certification or eligibility.

• Strong understanding of special education laws, including IDEA and Section 504.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with personal computer, Chromebooks and instructional equipment.

• Background check and fingerprint clearance through Identogo/TEACH (New York State Education Department)

• Approval by the Wilson Board of Education

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations.

• Interpret assessment results and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health.

• Support the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and data-based decision-making.

• Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to special education.

• Promote a safe and inclusive school environment that supports student success.
