Job Details Project Manager Consultant Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite/Hybrid Potential) Employment Type: Full‑Time Consulting Engagement Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a high‑profile enterprise modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for project planning, governance support, stakeholder coordination, risk management, implementation readiness, and overall delivery oversight. The ideal candidate is a seasoned project leader with a proven track record managing complex technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and delivery plans. Facilitate governance meetings and executive‑level project reviews. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. Coordinate activities across business, technical, and vendor teams. Support release planning, implementation readiness, and operational transition efforts. Track project performance and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership. Ensure project deliverables completed on schedule and aligned with organizational objectives. Drive stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Active PMP Certification (Required). 5+ years of project management experience leading complex IT projects. 3+ years in a project leadership capacity. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise technology projects, digital transformation initiatives, modernization programs, and multi‑stakeholder environments. Strong expertise in project planning and scheduling, governance and reporting, risk and issue management, release coordination, implementation readiness, and executive communication. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting government or public sector projects. Familiarity with project governance frameworks and large‑scale modernization initiatives. Experience managing cross‑functional teams and vendor relationships. Knowledge of Agile, Hybrid, or traditional project delivery methodologies.
