Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations for elderly clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological care needs.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to seniors, focusing on emotional challenges associated with aging, such as coping with loss and navigating significant life transitions.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize the patient's individual goals, integrating best practices in geriatric counseling.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for residents and their families, addressing end-of-life issues with sensitivity and professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with elderly individuals, many of whom face unique challenges related to aging, including widowhood, chronic health conditions, and cognitive decline. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n
