Manufacturing Operations Manager

A growing manufacturer is seeking a hands-on operations leader to oversee a high-volume production area and drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Value Stream Manager, or Manufacturing Engineering Manager who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and leading operational change.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations and production performance
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop supervisors, operators, and support staff through coaching and accountability
- Improve throughput, labor efficiency, quality, OEE, and overall operational performance
- Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to meet production goals
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
- Manage budgets, cost reduction initiatives, and capital improvement projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience leading supervisors and production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in plastics, injection molding, packaging, consumer products, medical device, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
Pay range and compensation package
- $115,000-$145,000 base salary
- Annual bonus opportunity
