Sterile Processing Coordinator

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Location: New York, NY 10032

Duration: 8 Weeks with a strong possibility of further extension

Schedule: 5x8 Mid Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay Range: $32–35/hr (local) / $1580/week (Travel)

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.

• Ensure proper handling and processing of sterile supplies according to hospital policies and infection control standards.

• Operate sterilization equipment and maintain accurate sterilization records.

• Inspect instruments for functionality and cleanliness prior to packaging and sterilization.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Sterile Processing Technician experience required.
• Experience working in a hospital or surgical services environment.
• Knowledge of instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• BLS - AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Sterile Processing certification preferred (CRCST, CSPDT, or equivalent).

• Experience with high-volume central sterile departments preferred.
