Your work will directly impact customers and team members on the day of travel while enhancing our Net Promoter Score (NPS), driving efficiencies, and improving operational performance.This role thrives on ambiguity. Lead early-stage problem discovery by defining problem statements, mapping current and future states, and aligning stakeholders on strategic solutions (technology, process, or operational change) before development begins.Contributes to the cocreation of Product Vision and Product Strategy tied to Portfolio goalsUtilizes technical knowledge such as A/B testing, product architecture, continuous deployment process, DevOps practices, data models and analytics, querying languages, tools supporting automation/metrics and other technologies in support of the products/services ownedCommunicates regularly on OKRs, product roadmap, planned development, upcoming releases, and areas requiring leadership’s attentionCoordinates with other Product team members to manage product dependencies and increments of valuePerforms continuous product discovery and offers valuable solutions that align to Product OKRsUnderstands the budgetary implications, related organizational constraints in factoring areas of focusUses data to define baselines, measure outcomes, share insights, order backlog items, etc.Conducts competitive benchmarking, presents new technologies/solutions, identifies unmet/underserved needDefines and maintains a healthy backlog, operating consistently in adopting organizational standards and presents the backlog items with squads and external team membersSeeks input from product, process and technology areas and balances time-sensitive improvements needed for maintaining both technical and product healthCollaborates with various internal team members (i.e. UX, Technology, Vendors, Risk, Compliance, SecurityInfluences leaders, squads and peers on product strategy, roadmap items, OKRs and upcoming releasesPractices agility in discovering and delivering value continuouslyAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor’s degree in related field plus 3 years of experience in Product Management/ Delivery (ex: product analyst, user researcher, product owner, etc.) or 5 years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceExperience determining Product Market fit and defining a Go-to-Market strategyDemonstrate familiarity with Agile Product Management toolsSkills, Licenses & CertificationsRelevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery fieldHas strong knowledge/expertise of product domain including the business model, constraints, regulations, user experiences, etc. What you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
