This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while still being a vital part of our community health clinic. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., facilitating a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate their unique goals, preferences, and needs.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address and treat various mental health issues.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote wellness.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
\n
• Engage in teamwork with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care approaches.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards in all documentation and client interactions.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and opportunities for professional development.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs while promoting destigmatization of mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families navigating the complexities of divorce and relationship issues. You will provide compassionate support to clients facing relational distress, emotional distress, and mood disorders, helping them develop healthier coping mechanisms and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to establish a secure, therapeutic relationship with clients through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exhibited empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and struggles.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to facilitate efficient caseload management and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, transgenerational therapy, or communication therapy.

• Familiarity with challenges specific to divorce and relationship counseling is preferred.

• Previous experience working in a community health or clinic-based setting is a plus.
