Speech Therapist, PRN

Job Details Location: Boise Nursing and Rehab – Boise, ID 83704 Position Type: PRN Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Position Overview Valley View Nursing and Rehab is looking for a committed and patient-focused PRN Speech Language Pathologist. The SLP will effectively screen, evaluate, rehabilitate patients with communication, cognition or swallowing disorders, and develop an appropriate plan of care. Qualifications Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program; minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a health care setting preferred. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently; must follow verbal and written instructions in English; bi‑lingual skills welcome. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Three (3) years experience holding active CCCS prior to CFY Supervision preferred; current and active state license or registration; ASHA certified (CCCs). Completion of orientation required by company policy. Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment. Mandatory drug test upon hire. Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check. Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment. Physical Demands Frequently move about the facility. Frequently assist patients with exercises. Quickly assist in the evacuation of all residents from the building in case of emergency. Work Environment May be asked to work beyond normal hours and must have flexibility to work holidays, etc. Must work in an office and other areas of the facility as needed. May be exposed to illness, diseases, and other health conditions present in the facility. Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.
