User Experience Researcher (Bothell, WA) As a User Experience Researcher at Philips Oral Healthcare, you will provide advanced strategic guidance on user research methodologies, prioritize medical device product studies, and extract user insights to align with project objectives. You represent the voice of the customer throughout all phases of consumer product development. Responsibilities Extract user and consumer insights, ensuring seamless flow from User Needs to Product Requirements, and develop systematic approaches for research challenges to facilitate verification and validation of relevant consumer insights. Develop overall user research plans for value proposition and/or product development projects, including formative, iterative, summative, validation, and claim substantiation studies. Review and finalize consumer-focused project requirements, including milestones, deliverables, and input for decisions, and perform project decision‑making through the application of clear and agreed targets and action standards. Engage stakeholders to validate abstract high‑level value propositions, ensure alignment with strategic goals and expectations, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prioritize requirements based on importance, resources, and potential outcomes. Perform thorough root‑cause analysis of moderate customer complaints, identify systemic issues, and devise and enact sustainable solutions or process enhancements to prevent recurrence. Qualifications 3+ years of research experience and a bachelor’s degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Product Design, Usability Testing, or an equivalent field. Experience emphasizing medical device development, app development, or clinical research, with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and GDP (Good Documentation Practice) knowledge considered a strong plus. Solid research skills from planning to reporting, including survey design and moderation of in‑person qualitative research. Capability to perform the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements, with or without accommodation. Working Conditions This is an office‑based role that requires full‑time presence in the company’s facilities, with a minimum of three days per week onsite. All employees must be located within commuting distance to Bothell, WA. Benefits Pay range: $129,000 to $205,000 for this position in Washington. Other compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, long‑term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits program that includes generous PTO, a 401(k) plan with up to a 7% match, HSA with company contribution, stock purchase plan, and education reimbursement.
