Job Title Physician, Internal Medicine, Rheumatology Location Macon, GA 31207 Job Details Department: Internal Medicine – Rheumatology Department. College/Division: School of Medicine. Primary posting location: Mercer Medicine downtown Macon, GA. The position is a 12‑month professional staff role reporting to the Mercer Medicine Managing Partner. Responsibilities Maintain a financially viable practice at Mercer Medicine downtown Macon. Provide Rheumatology consultations in an outpatient setting for Mercer Medicine patients and other patients as requested. Clinic hours Monday‑Friday 8‑5pm. Participate in medical staff committees. Oversee Nurse Practitioner or designated physicians as needed. Complete all required medical record documentation. Qualifications M.D. degree from an accredited institution. Board certified in Rheumatology. Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure. Experience in ambulatory practice setting. Experience with clinical trials or outcomes research desirable. Experience in academic medical environment highly desirable. Background Check & Contingencies Criminal history required.
