Calibration Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Calibration Technician in Orlando, FL for an approximately one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will calibrate, test, adjust, maintain, and repair a variety of optical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical measuring and test equipment.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; no degree required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with and measuring optics.
• Experience with test and measurement calibration tools, including interferometers, autocollimators, optical alignment scopes, IR equipment, oscilloscopes, RF generators, and digital multimeters (DMM).
• Electronic experience.
• Physical calibration experience.
• Experience with IndySoft calibration software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use it to read procedures.

What You'll Do

• Calibrate optical and electronic measuring equipment and signal-generating equipment to established standards.
• Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain optical, electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydromechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
• Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications and requirements.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and technical procedures.
• Disassemble and clean test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and replace defective components as needed.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other applicable control procedures.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 1st shift.
• Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM.

Pay

$35.96 per hour.
