Area Manager - Floor

Position Summary Implement the business plan for your area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing, scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, safety, and overall operational excellence. What You’ll Do Communicate with individuals or groups verbally or in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates. Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to monitor and manage productivity. Ensure associates are trained on logistics, company policies, standards, and procedures; monitor compliance; distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation. Identify and address associate, customer, and supplier concerns by consulting with others to determine corrective actions or recommendations. Supervise and develop associates and leaders: assign duties, coordinate workloads, monitor performance, provide feedback and coaching; identify training and development needs; participate in hiring, promotion, and evaluation. Build high‑performing teams and create a culture of belonging. Act with integrity and maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance. Serve customers and members by delivering results while putting the customer first. Strive for excellence through curiosity, calculated risk‑taking, and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year’s Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years’ Walmart Logistics experience OR 2 years’ supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience supervising associates. Knowledge of Walmart Logistics Systems. Relevant bachelor’s degrees: Business or Logistics.
