Shipping, Receiving, and Production Coordinator

This role coordinates shipping and receiving activities while supporting chemical product filling, sealing, labeling, and packaging in accordance with established process requirements. The position ensures accurate documentation, maintains an organized work area, and provides backup support to documentation and supervisory functions to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Fill, seal, and label all chemical products in strict accordance with established process requirements.
• Produce packaged products following defined procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including preparing outbound shipments and processing incoming materials.
• Serve as a backup for the documentation clerk by completing required paperwork and records when needed.
• Serve as a backup for the supervisor in their absence to help maintain workflow and adherence to procedures.
• Organize the work area so that all required supplies and materials are available, labeled, and in proper order.
• Use standard hand tools safely and correctly during daily production and shipping tasks.
• Handle and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs on a daily basis as part of production and logistics operations.
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate production, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled working hours.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use standard hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to move packages weighing up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with team members.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience with shipping and receiving activities.
• Ability to follow process requirements for filling, sealing, labeling, and packaging products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with documentation practices related to production, shipping, or inventory.
• Comfort serving as a backup for documentation and supervisory tasks when required.

Work Environment

This role operates in a production and shipping environment with a standard daytime schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around chemical products that are filled, sealed, and labeled according to defined processes, and you will use standard hand tools and material handling methods to move packages up to 50 lbs. The work area is organized to keep supplies in order and to support efficient, safe operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Metuchen, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
