Job Description Travel RN Behavioral Health position in Winston Salem, North Carolina. 13‑week contract, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour daytime shifts. Start date: 07/13/2026. Utilize de‑escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Administer medications, including anti‑anxiety agents, antidepressants, and antipsychotics, ensuring accurate dosages and timing. Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and assess patients' mental status continuously. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to patient evaluations and treatment plans. Implement seclusion protocols and manage involuntary commitments as required. Support milieu and behavior‑management techniques to create a safe and therapeutic environment. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health nursing role. Current RN license in the state of practice. Certifications: BLS, MOAB, or CPI required. Experience with bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, or other diverse mental health conditions preferred. Familiarity with EPIC documentation system required.
