Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Mobile PRN
Location: Miami-Dade County, FL
Setting: School-Based
Schedule: Flexible PRN School-Day Hours
Anticipated Hours: Approximately 2–4 hours per week
Collaborative Therapies is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a flexible mobile PRN opportunity providing school-based occupational therapy services at two Miami-Dade County campuses.
Candidates may accept both campuses or one location , allowing the position to be tailored to availability and geographic preference.
Caseload
- Combined caseload: 2 students
- Approximately 2–4 anticipated hours per week
- Caseload may grow as additional students are identified
Hours are anticipated and may vary based on each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) service minutes and scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement treatment plans and interventions established by the supervising OT
- Support students' functional participation and independence within the educational environment
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and service records
- Collaborate with the supervising OT, educators, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow applicable school, company, and professional requirements
Qualifications
- Current Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Reliable transportation to selected campuses
- Ability to work independently while following the plan of care established by the supervising OT
- Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
