Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in University Park, IL— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Pay and Benefits $1600 or more per week. Additional details: Solo Miles Pay: $0.53 per mile with 2000 miles/week Solo Stops Pay: $24 per stop with 35 stops/week Per Diem Pay: $26.52 per night with 2-3 nights/week Loyalty Bonus: $1500 at 6 months and $1500 at 1 year Sign-On Bonus: $500 at 30 days and $500 at 90 days Overnights for Route in Ryder booked hotel or sleeper Paid Training Schedule: Monday – Friday Route & Equipment Deliver solo to IL, IN, MI, OH, MO, WI, MN, IA, KS Route: Regional Tractor: Late Model Trucks Trailer: 48'–53' Conestoga, Curtainside, Flatbed Equipment: Electric pallet jack (Ryder will train) Freight: Steel & metal products (securement required) 6 months flatbed experience required Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test and background/MV check including drug and alcohol verification up to last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements Class A experience in tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures Important Note Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check and/or badging or background requirements of the customer.
