Job Summary:
The Lactation Specialist position is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role involves providing expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership oversight for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8 hours daily, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and an anticipated start date of 06/29/2026
• Required Qualifications: Massachusetts licensed professional with at least 1 year of experience as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (BCLC). Must have a minimum of 2,500 hours as a breastfeeding consultant, experience with inpatient lactation programs, outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultations, and teaching experience. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) and board certification in lactation. EMR experience with Meditech Expanse is preferred. Candidates must have their certifications in hand and include proof in their profile upload, and must have their own vehicle.
• Additional Information: Recent experience with Meditech Expanse EMR recommended. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may lead to rescinded offers. Any requested time off should be included in the profile; requests after offer will not be approved. This position requires a 8-hour non-billable orientation, holiday rotation, and compliance with Berkshire Health System's policy of not considering travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility.
