Staff Accountant

Location: Stamford, CT Schedule: Monday-Friday | 100% in-office with potential for hybrid once fully trained Compensation: $70-85K depending on experience About The Opportunity Our client is a growing, innovation-driven organization seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join its collaborative Finance & Accounting team. Key Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger maintenance Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Process accounts payable transactions and expense reports Assist with cash management and balance sheet reconciliations Support financial reporting and audit preparation activities Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment Ideal Candidate Looking to build a long‑term career in accounting and finance Thrives in a collaborative, team‑oriented setting Enjoys taking ownership of responsibilities and learning new skills Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving organization Brings a positive attitude, initiative, and strong work ethic Excited to gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions beyond a traditional Staff Accountant role #J-18808-Ljbffr CFS
