## Podiatrist PRNApplylocations: Moody Outpatient Center 4th Floortime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: 986742Contact: Brent View email address on click.appcast.io Podiatrist for 2 Days/Week Coverage.**Primary Purpose**Responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare for patients accessing, including bio-medical and social aspects of medical and surgical conditions including problem identification, physical exams, history assessment, identification of psychosocial concerns, diagnosis, appropriate management, and specific treatments ensuring optimal health, decreasing complications, and expediting recovery.**Minimum Specifications****Education*** Must have a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from an accredited college of Podiatric Medicine.**Experience**None**Certification/Registration/Licensure*** Must currently be a Licensed Doctor Podiatry Medicine in the State of Texas.* Must meet and maintain licensing and registration requirements as delineated by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and Credentialing Policies/Procedures, if any.* Board Certified by American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) or American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS)**Skills or Special Abilities*** Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the appropriate specialty\scope of practice (e.g. Podiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Jail Health etc.) assessment techniques and treatment processes.* Must be able to determine objectives, set priorities, and establish and meet target dates.* Must be able to work effectively with other health care professionals and serve as a resource to the community.* Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior.Preferred:* Spanish proficiency is preferred**Responsibilities**1. Patient CareGathers and documents essential and accurate information about patients; makes informed decisions about diagnostic and therapeutic interventions incorporating patient information and preferences; develops and carries out patient management plans on an ongoing basis.Provides health care and utilizes evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in the management to improve health outcomes.Counsels and educates patients and their families regarding health promotion, appropriate management of acute conditions, and self-management of chronic conditions.Collaborates with other health care professionals within and outside of PHHS, including community resources when appropriate, to provide coordinated patient-centered care.2. Interpersonal and Communication SkillsUtilizes effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and the care team. Creates and maintains a therapeutic and ethically sound relationship with the patient. Demonstrates respect, compassion, integrity and responsiveness to the needs of the patient.3. May participate in writing and/or presenting publications and presentations. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the field of medicine. Develops effective internal controls to promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state, and private health plans.4.
