Adjunct Assistant Professor, Dance (Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology)

Job Overview Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology department offers programs including graphic design, digital media, technical theatre, studio arts, dance, music, theatre, and video production. The Adjunct Assistant Professor will develop, prepare, and teach courses in dance fundamentals, world dance, and technique. Instruction may be delivered during the day, evening, or online with distance‑learning formats. Part‑time instructional service is paid at $822 per semester credit hour and $32.88 per clock/contact hour. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings to promote student success. Support and promote the college and departmental missions through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and timely service. Collaborate with the Director, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates mastery of course content. Demonstrate technological literacy and innovation in the delivery of instruction. Assist with the implementation of college policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with the SF philosophy, mission, and procedures. Participate in departmental meetings and college‑wide committees as needed. Provide students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance. Document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes. Develop methods that fairly and accurately assess students’ progress toward stated learning outcomes. Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to instructional assignment. Strictly honor privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information per FERPA and applicable regulations. Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree or MFA in Dance, or Master’s degree with at least eighteen graduate hours in Dance. Criminal background check will be conducted.
