CT Technologist (PRN)

Job Title

Job Specific Competencies:

• Performs CT imaging procedures as indicated in the procedure manual.
• Performs other related imaging procedures producing images for interpretation by a physician.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing.
• Maintains a safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) Radiologic Program, JCERT accredited or other national accreditation agencies acceptable to the ARRT

Experience:

• None required for staff position

Certification/License:

• Registered CT Technologist or OJT training to become registered with the ARRT
• Registered with the ARRT within 1 year of training start date
• Must be in good standing with appropriate agency(s)
• BLS required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in order to perform CT testing
• Knowledge of imaging equipment
• Good verbal skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use computerized information systems
• Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships

Work Environment:

Work is normally performed in an interior/office or workshop environment. Routine office noise, exposure to chemicals, hazardous material/waste, blood and body fluids.
