Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct initial evaluations to determine patients' needs for orthopedic physical therapy and carefully develop individualized treatment plans based on these assessments.
• Implement therapy interventions according to physician care plans, adhering to agency policies and the highest professional standards.
• Engage patients in quality treatment sessions, providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation while delivering education and support to both patients and their families.
• Focus on preventing and treating functional impairments, maximizing patients' physical capabilities and overall quality of life.
• Advise patients and their families on at-home rehabilitation exercises, ensuring safety and effectiveness in their ongoing recovery process.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated effectively to facilitate a unified approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation after surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting musculoskeletal health. You will work directly with a diverse population in Wellington, providing tailored therapies to help them regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A valid state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; advanced qualifications such as a Master's Degree will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient setting, specifically focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for patient documentation and treatment plan management.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
