Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Extensive Support Needs Education Specialist (previously Moderate/Severe). The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require significant support and a strong commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Selected candidates may be contacted to provide individualized instruction, implement functional academic and life‑skills programming, and support students in achieving their IEP goals. Responsibilities Deliver individualized instruction to students with extensive support needs. Design and implement functional academic and functional life‑skills programs. Collaborate with teachers, therapists and families to support student IEP goals. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Requirements / Qualifications Possession of a valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential in the subject matter of the posting. Authorization in Extensive Support Needs highly desirable. English Learners Authorization. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Recommendation Letters – three current letters dated within the last two years. Salary $71,571 to $103,136 per year (full‑time). Part‑time assignments will be prorated. Pay dependent on experience. Applicants with two or more years of full‑time K‑12 public school experience start at step 3 (maximum starting step).
