Software Developer Senior, Front-End

Job Description Purpose of Role: Plays a key role in designing, building, and maintaining custom software solutions. Works closely with both the product owner and development team to deliver high quality software to meet stakeholder requirements. Makes the team better by helping others when needed, providing ideas during the planning/refinement process, and encouraging discussion and collaboration with other developers. Helps to ensure that standards are being upheld, and processes are being followed. As part of a team, aligns with the business to architect and implement enterprise-level software that puts the customer first. Designs and develops Angular software solutions to meet business requirements. Identifies application bottlenecks and bugs and devises solutions that ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness. Builds and optimizes queries and stored procedures in AWS RDS databases. Utilizes understanding of fundamental database design principles for horizontally scalable applications, object-oriented database, programming principles, and design patterns. Collaborates with teammates to produce sophisticated designs and quality products to take our web-based platform to the next level. Participates in Scrum teams to build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using a cloud-first approach in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Participates in Agile Scrum ceremonies (e.g. sprint plans, backlog grooming, and retrospective two-week sprints). Coaches and mentors more junior developers in internal policies, procedures, and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or comparable qualifications, (Computer Science or related). Requirements and Qualifications: Strong front end experience, with some full stack experience preferred. Recent experience in a financial services technology environment. Minimum of 3+ years of related experience as an Angular developer. 1 year of experience with .NET Core. Familiarity with an ORM tool, such as Entity Framework or Dapper. Experience with multi-tiered web-based application development. Deep understanding of front-end design patterns. Experience with a cloud provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Knowledge of T-SQL. Ability to optimize scripts and stored procedures. Experience with unit testing processes and frameworks. Deep knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript. Some C# knowledge is preferred. Knowledge of CI/CD setup, configuration, and processes in a tool like Octopus Deploy. Experience with Agile development lifecycle tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps). Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player. Ability to coach and mentor other developers. Analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Compensation The base salary range for this position is ($125,000 - $160,000) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience.
