Job Description 12-month contract Top Three Skills 7+ years of experience working as a senior Java developer, preference for at least 2-3 previous projects as a full stack developer across all layers of an application. 7+ years of experience on the front end using a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue, etc.). Hands‑on development with Spring Boot is a must. Struts 2 experience and migration to Spring. 7+ years of experience in an Enterprise Oracle environment with deep query‑writing skills for large data sets. Familiarity with Java build tools such as Maven. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. Professionals with the knowledge and experience to offer clients an in‑house feel with customized solutions, including the efficiency/cost savings of a combined fixed and variable cost model. The team is responsible for 15 applications that handle Domestic Federal Compliance of corporations filing tax returns. The client currently offers the following services: Planning & Policy Tax Accounting U.S. Federal and State Tax Global Direct & Indirect Taxes IRTW Transfer Pricing Tax Controversy and Regulatory Services Country Tax Teams Tax Data Improvement Interview Questions Talk about your understanding of the business process behind the application or platform you are currently working on. Talk about your experience working as a Full Stack Developer across all layers of an application. As a Full Stack Developer, do you spend most of your time on the frontend or backend? What modern JavaScript frameworks are you currently using? Talk about your experience with Spring framework tools. What percent of your time do you spend in maintenance vs. new development? How many years’ experience do you have working in an Enterprise Oracle environment? Work Environment: The Tax IST organization has 220+ employees, but Hiren's team consists of 6-7 developers. Impact to the External Customer: These applications enable clients to effectively comply with Federal standards when completing tax returns. The application holds extremely confidential information vital to their business. A perceived lack of capability may result in lost revenue due to inability to sell the application. Business Challenge: The client aims to improve tax functions across its clients’ businesses, integrating technology and focusing on people and processes. The tax platform supports the full Tax Lifecycle and is designed to manage data in a complex environment, provide maximum transparency, and meet multiple stakeholder needs. Phase one of the client's three‑phase platform update must be completed by April 2019 to add tax functionality, thereby aiding PwC in customer acquisition and operational efficiency. Non‑Technical Skills: This person will communicate with clients and support both the functional and IT teams. Prior client‑facing experience is a major plus and encouraged. #J-18808-Ljbffr
