About the Role
Join a leading Digital Modernization team as a Systems Administrator IV, serving as an Identity Access Management Subject Matter Expert. Located in Anacostia, DC, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and supporting mission-critical IT systems for government operations. This is an in-person position requiring US Citizenship and a Public Trust clearance. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the security and performance of complex IT infrastructures, offering direct impact and visibility across multiple technical domains.

Responsibilities

- Lead installation, configuration, and administration of secure physical and virtual systems
- Oversee identity and access management processes to ensure compliance and user security
- Manage large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Implement system best practices, critical patches, and backup/recovery strategies
- Analyze and optimize system performance, storage allocation, and resource utilization
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues impacting multiple disciplines
- Collaborate with internal/external teams, vendors, and stakeholders on solution design and delivery
- Mentor team members and share advanced technical knowledge

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6-10 years
- Expert knowledge in system administration and identity access management
- Proven experience with large-scale IT infrastructure and project management
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization expertise
- Familiarity with government security protocols and compliance standards
- US Citizenship (no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Willingness to work onsite, five days a week in Washington, DC

Preferred Skills

- Doctorate in technical domain
- Experience supporting government IT environments
- Advanced certifications in system administration or security
