Mortgage Loan Officer

We are seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) to join our team and help clients navigate the home financing process. In this role, you will work closely with borrowers, Realtors, and banking partners to generate new loan opportunities, recommend mortgage solutions, and guide customers from application through closing. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, knowledgeable about mortgage products, and passionate about helping clients achieve their homeownership goals. Key Responsibilities Generate new mortgage business through referrals, Realtor partnerships, and banking relationships. Meet with borrowers to gather and review financial information. Evaluate income, debt, credit history, and tax returns to determine loan eligibility. Educate customers on available mortgage products and recommend the best financing solutions. Guide borrowers through the entire mortgage process, from application to closing. Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure a smooth loan experience. Maintain and grow relationships with clients, Realtors, and referral partners to build a strong pipeline of future business. Stay current on mortgage products, lending regulations, and market trends. Required Qualifications 2+ years of residential mortgage origination experience. Strong knowledge of conventional and government-backed loan products, including FHA and VA loans. Understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and funding. High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. NMLS registration (active or previously issued). Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish. RMLO (Residential Mortgage Loan Originator) License. Ideal Candidate Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong sales and business development mindset. Ability to analyze financial information and explain complex loan options in a simple, customer-friendly manner. Self-motivated with a track record of developing and maintaining a pipeline of mortgage business.
