Senior Accountant

Connect Search is partnering with a well-established organization in the Greater Madison area to hire a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting full-cycle accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes while also driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. Title: Senior Accountant Location: Middleton, WI – Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 remote) Schedule: Monday–Friday | Core hours 8:0 AM – 5:00 PM Bonus: discretionary bonus Software: Sage 100, MS Office Suite Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support Conduct GL reviews, variance analysis, and assist with budget preparation Maintain and enhance financial reporting tools and system outputs Research and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and system variances Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional reporting needs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 3–5+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience required Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
