This individual will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing material flow processes to improve efficiency, inventory management, and production support within a manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and improve material flow throughout production and warehouse operations.- Develop and implement material handling and storage solutions to support manufacturing requirements.- Analyze inventory movement, warehouse utilization, and logistics processes to identify improvement opportunities.- Create and maintain facility layouts, process maps, and material flow designs using AutoCAD.- Support sequence management and production material delivery activities.- Utilize Excel and SQL to analyze operational data, generate reports, and drive process improvements.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, and production operations to ensure effective material execution.- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and support operational excellence initiatives.Requirements – Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.- Experience in material flow, warehouse management, logistics, or manufacturing operations.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Required Skills- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and SQL.Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills- Experience within the automotive industry.- Knowledge of sequencing operations and manufacturing material replenishment processes.- Experience supporting large-scale production or assembly plant operations.Employment Details – Type, Location, HoursThis is a 2-year contract position. The role is fully on-site at an assembly plant in Fairfax, Kansas, with regular business hours.
