Interventional RadiologistThe VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory and have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, excluding residency. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve our nation's veterans, utilizing advanced imaging techniques and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of interventional radiology procedures including Angiography and Balloon angioplasty/stent placementCryoablation and Radiofrequency ablationChemoembolization and EmbolizationThrombolysis, TIPS placement, and IVC filtersLine insertion, Drain insertions, and Nephrostomy placementCholecystostomy, Biliary interventions, and Dialysis accessBiopsy, Radiologically inserted gastrostomy, and Endovenous laser ablationVertebroplasty/KyphoplastyCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient treatment plans.Use state-of-the-art imaging technology and equipment to perform minimally invasive procedures.Interpret diagnostic images and provide consultative expertise.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols and processes within the radiology department.QualificationsBoard Certified in Radiology by the American College of Radiology (ACR).A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (excluding residency).Unrestricted medical license with no recent disciplinary actions (any U.S. state or territory).Proficiency in performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.Strong knowledge of interventional radiology equipment and software.Demonstrated expertise in advanced interventional radiology techniques.Preferred Skills & AttributesAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.Strong diagnostic, procedural, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Federal benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.Opportunities for continuing medical education (CME).Student loan repayment options may be available.
