The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Communications department to create engaging and informative visual content across various platforms. You'll be responsible for translating complex information into clear and compelling visuals that support our educational mission and brand aesthetic. Essential Functions: Design & Production: Develop high-quality digital and print assets, including marketing materials, social media graphics, presentations, and campaign collateral. Edit video content for marketing and communications, including short-form social videos, reels, CTV advertisements, and website content. Support website UX design by creating intuitive layouts, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that enhance usability and align with brand standards. Create templates, style guides, and reusable design assets to maintain brand consistency. Brand Stewardship: Apply and uphold brand standards across all creative output. Contribute ideas to evolve brand visuals and design systems. Partner with marketing team to translate strategic goals into effective design solutions. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality execution. Provide mentorship or feedback to junior designers when needed. Research design trends and emerging technologies to keep the organizations creative work fresh and engaging. Recommend design strategies to improve user engagement and visual storytelling. Position Qualifications: Bachelors degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 35 years of professional design experience in an agency, in-house, or related environment. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with Figma, Canva, or similar design tools. Demonstrated proficiency with motion graphics, video editing, or animation tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.). Knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, and design best practices. Experience designing for both print and digital platforms, including responsive layouts. Understanding of production processes for print and web. Knowledge of UX/UI principles and web design. Familiarity with project management software (Asana, Jira, Trello, etc.). Experience in photography, illustration, or other complementary creative skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact.
