Position Overview 3LP Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Woodstock, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on a wide variety of residential and light commercial projects while taking ownership of the design process from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have structural design experience, a strong understanding of residential wood framing, and the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver practical, code-compliant engineering solutions. Responsibilities
- Design structural systems for residential and light commercial projects.
- Prepare structural calculations, framing plans, foundation designs, and construction documents.
- Develop and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review plans for code compliance and engineering standards.
- Perform occasional local site visits to verify existing conditions and support project execution.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, contractors, and clients throughout the design process.
- Assist with engineering solutions for renovations, additions, repairs, and new construction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- $90,000-$100,000, depending on experience.
- Annual performance reviews with potential 3-5% salary increases.
- Annual performance bonus.
- 3% IRA match.
- Company-provided computer and tools for site visits.
- Monday-Friday schedule (7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM).
- Minimal weekend work.
- Local site visits only.
- Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
