How you’ll make an impact in this role Coordinate, collect, disseminate, and intervene in a manner that anticipates, prevents, identifies, evaluates, and controls hazards. Maintain continuous survey readiness through compliance with regulations from various regulatory agencies. Responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance of the Environment of Care (EOC) program, including fire, hazardous materials safety and security/waste/utilities/emergency management (EM). Maintain documentation of findings and improvements. Identify risks based on regulatory interpretation and other methods, and apply to policy creation. Monitor potential and actual environmental hazards. Participate in root and apparent cause analysis and recommends remedial and corrective action. Lead emergency coordination (EC) rounding activities, EC/EM related education, and EOC/EM Committee(s). What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Certification specializing in Health Safety preferred. Certification credentialed from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (BCHCM). Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
