Job Summary: The Group Home Manager is responsible for the overall management and daily

operations of the group home. This role includes overseeing the care and support provided to

residents, managing staff and resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set

by Devoted Family Care Services and DODD. The Manager serves as a key point of contact for

residents, their families, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Resident Care and Support:

o Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they

receive appropriate and personalized support.

o Monitor and assess the well-being and progress of residents, adjusting care plans

as needed.

o Facilitate and coordinate medical appointments, therapies, and other services for

residents.

o Manage resident medication ordering and changes.

o Address and resolve resident issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

2. Staff Management:

o Train and supervise group home staff.

o Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations, providing feedback

and professional development opportunities.

o Ensure staff adhere to Devoted Family Care Services and DODD policies,

procedures, and regulatory requirements.

o Issue staff disciplinary actions per Devoted Family Care Services policies and

procedures.

3. Administrative Duties:

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on resident care, staff schedules, and

incidents.

o Prepare and manage budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-

effective use of resources.

o Mange receipt tracking and filing.

o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, including

maintaining licenses and certifications.

o Complete monthly meal and activity schedule.

o Audit weekly site paperwork and deliver it to home office on Tuesdays by 12:00

pm.

4. Communication and Coordination:

o Serve as the primary contact for residents, families, and external agencies,

addressing inquiries and providing updates.

o Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to

ensure comprehensive care.

o Develop and implement community outreach programs and activities to enhance

resident engagement.

o Post staff related communications on site.

o Communicate site needs and concerns with Agency Coordinator promptly.

5. Site Management:

o Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the group home environment,

ensuring it meets safety and comfort standards.

o Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring the home is well-stocked and in good

condition.

o Submit timely work orders to ensure the health and safety standards are met for

the home.

o Identify schedule gaps and work to cover any site open shifts.

o Maintain being on call during scheduled manager on call rotation time frame.

6. Crisis Management:

o Respond to emergencies and crises, including medical incidents or behavioral

issues, with appropriate interventions.

o Implement emergency response plans and procedures per Devoted Family Care

Services and DODD.

Working Conditions:

• May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

• May involve physical activity related to resident support and facility maintenance.

• Exposure to various environmental conditions depending on the location and nature of

the facility.

Additional Information:

• The manager may be required to attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to

stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
