Lead Field Service TechnicianAs a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will take a pivotal role in leading field service activities, ensuring timely and effective maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment at customer sites. You will provide technical guidance to junior technicians and act as a key point of contact for resolving complex technical issues, enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and you'll work out of our West Columbia, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact the success of our field service operations, the satisfaction of our customers, and the growth of the organization by overseeing field service activities and ensuring high-quality technical support and service delivery.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with and under the direction of the FSS to lead and coordinate field service activities to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Honeywell equipment and systems at customer sites.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field service technicians.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve service processes.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Energy Efficiency (EE) measures at customer sites.Complete documentation for each premise accurately, legibly, and timely.Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.Travel and function from a hotel room for this project; be willing to travel to other projects on a temporary basisPerform all tasks in a safe manner using proper Personal Protective Equipment as intendedQualificationsYOU MUST HAVE3 years or more of experience in field service or technical support roles with a focus on equipment maintenance and repair.3 Years or more experience in the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.1 year or more of experience leading or mentoring a team of technicians in a field service environment.Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in field operations.Willingness and the ability to travel up to 100% of the time regionally.WE VALUEAssociate degree or technical certification in a relevant field such as electronics, mechanical, or industrial technology.Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in field operations.5+ years of experience in field service or technical roles, preferably in a leadership capacity.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELLIn addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
